One of our core values is WE greater than me. This is ultimately the heart of God. Jesus demonstrated this concept by laying down His life (me) for us (WE). While the Kingdom of God is supposed to impact us, it was never intended to be all about us. It is actually supposed to be about WE. Your life is supposed to be lived in a way that makes a difference in WE. What would Charlotte look like if people truly began to live life from the perspective that WE is truly greater than me?

Meet the Organizations
Beds For Kids
Beds for Kids is a nonprofit that provides beds and essential furniture to children and their families in need. They are a nonprofit furniture bank based in Charlotte, NC. This service opportunity will allow our volunteers to assist with serving the staff by delivering furniture to local families, cleaning or assembling furniture in their warehouse, loading trucks, and moving and organizing in the warehouse.
Nourish Up
formerly Loaves & Fishes/Friendship Trays, is a network of emergency food pantries and the primary Meals On Wheels program in Mecklenburg Co., providing nutritionally balanced groceries for neighbors in need and healthy prepared meals for those unable to prepare or secure meals for themselves. Their mission is to nourish our neighbors with food and compassion. This nonprofit offers two serving opportunities; the first offers volunteers the chance to deliver groceries to families in need. The second gives volunteers the chance to sort food donations and pack food relief boxes.
Samaritan’s Feet
Samaritan’s Feet serves and inspires hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation for spiritual and healthy life, advancing education and economic opportunities. This serving opportunity will assist in processing new donated shoes in a warehouse to be sent worldwide to those in need. Processing will include marking sizes, organizing shoes, and packing in boxes.
Supportive Housing
Supportive Housing Communities to provide affordable housing to alleviate homelessness and human suffering. This serving opportunity will create welcome baskets for new Residents.
Congregations For Kids
Congregations for Kids mobilizes the community to be Champions for kids in the foster care system. They do this through four pathways of engagement: Foster care, Mentorship, Serving, and Giving. Imagine a city where every kid in foster care has the support they need to thrive, where every kid is seen, known, and loved, where every kid has a champion…where every kid has someone like you. This nonprofit offers two serving opportunities; the first offers volunteers the chance to deliver baskets to DSS/YFS. The second gives volunteers the opportunity to inventory toys for their Merry Market.
Lifeline Christian Mission
Lifeline Christian Mission is a place for our community to come together to support those in need who struggle with food insecurity. As an international organization, we support both global and local needs and respond to help those during disasters, as well as refugee relief and food insecurity such as homelessness. They partner with other organizations to meet the needs of our community and around the world. At their local center, they invite people of all ages and abilities to participate in funding and packing shelf-stable and nutritious meals. Their mission is to mobilize, develop, and empower people and communities! This serving opportunity will assist in packing food that will impact the community.
